No, though I tried it first with a long (and wide: double folded) one. Someone posted a picture of the knot on the Dutch styleforum and my gf figured out how it worked. Here goes; hope people don't mind I post it here.

(Not much light, so the pictures are a bit blurry).

Step 1. Put the scarf on, like this:

Step 2. Pull the top one of the two ends of the scarf through the loop:

Step 3. Take the other (bottom) end...

Step 4. ... and pull it through under the other end:

Step 5. Put that end back through the loop, under the other end:

Step 6. Ready.

And the (smaller and narrower) one I posted earlier:

Thanks for the compliment about the car coat - nothing like a British-made coat! Rodex used to make all the Aquascutum overcoats, but, I'm fairly certain, they went out of business long ago. This one was originally sold through F. R. Tripler - a venerable NY shop.

Sacks can be waisted or not depending on how I plan on wearing them. Heavy tweeds like the one I wore today are "sack-like" but my lighter material sack jackets - worsted, linen, cotton, seersucker - tend to have more of a waist.

I didn't stagger the ends like I should have (I was in a hurry) so my ends are uneven in length. I like this knot though.

Maybe I'm alone in thinking i want ppl to STFU when they post stupid comments like "one pocket is lower" about a jacket made by one of the best tailors in the world, worn by someone very well versed in bespoke clothing, who is QUITE obviously leaning just slightly.
