My Canali has no vents.
I think I prefer that since I have a skinny/no ass.
Less "disheveled" looking
Is this correct logic?

Hmm, ok, how about trim, fit, low fat, lean.
But def some muscle tone in the chest.
But yes, more skinny than muscular.
5'8", 155lbs.
No ass, pretty sure.

I verified that skinny guys should have vents.
My Canali suit doesn't have vents.

This is not correct. Skinny guys can go ventless, or go with one suit, or with two. As with much of the issues of your concern, these are matters of current style and personal preference. I tend to prefer to wear a suit or sports coat with a vent, but I have at least one d/b unvented and it works fine. If you notice, in many of the movies of the 30s and 40s, many of the suits were unvented. In many of the suits represented in the movies of the early 60s, many suits and sports coats had very minimal double vents. Styles change.

+1

I'll add that, if you are a habitual hand-in-the-pants-pocket guy, you want side vents. If you can keep your hands out of your pockets, you are okay without vents.

There is a lot of anti-ventless sentiment on SF, doubtless spawned by all the attrocious Men's Warehouse suits out there with no vents.

I prefer side vents in part for this reason.

6'1", 135 lbs here, and I personally like the way I look in ventless jackets. As far as putting your hands in your pockets, check out HUmphrey Bogart in Casablanca. He frequently did so, still managing to look cool.

Also, if you like vintage clothing, there are many examples to be had for practically nothing. I guess since you're a millionaire schoolteacher that may not matter. Me, I'm barely keeping my head below water!
