I dunno Slim, we seem to be pretty much neck and neck in the league so far.

This despite (for me) a disastrous 2nd round pick, a first round pick being gone for the season, and an inadvertent drop of my best closer. Plus the all important "I drafted lower than you" whine.

It'll be interesting to see who finishes ahead of the other.

I say just STFU and play.

BTW I saw you p/u Lugo. Hope you enjoy his .240 batting average.

True.

Boo hoo.

Oh, you mean I need to start playing now?

Its a long season, and you are a dumbass.

And I picked up Lugo because I needed some more SB. I think his BA will trend slightly upwards, though he won't bat .300.

Off the topic.

But the Giants are playing the Dodgers right now ( (9:00 PM CST, 7-31-07).

Of course they are broadcasting it because of the Barry Bonds chase for the Home Rub record.

I really don't want to see him break the record, but I think I'll catch this game so I can see him break the record live if he does it, rather than on a highlight reel.

Maybe Bonds will have a career ending injury during the game. It's possible with his juiced up steroid body over 40 years old. Maybe a severe knee injury or something like that. Even better, a severe bean ball injury. That would make this game one of the all time memorable baseball games.

I was unaware that Barry Bonds was even close to Conne's "home rub" record.

Thank you all for an enjoyable season, though I will never recover from the Mets' debacle.

We should try to trade a little bit more next time around!

All those who agreed to play for pay, please identify yourselves.

Did we ever breakout the payouts? I still can't believe that I made such a march the last month of the season.

Nice charge Bill.

I don't think we did. IIRC it was being predicated on how many "for pay" players we had.

I would like to point out yet again, that despite not giving half a **** the last two months of the season - Steve still wasn't able to pass me in the standings.

Me = 2

Steve B = 0

Football 07 is next. Though he has more points than I do by a significant margin, we are both 1-2 teams (that will probably be 2-2 after tonight).

And I will destroy him in our H2H matchups, because fate likes laughing at Steve just as much as I do.
