Lands' End Canvas

I just received a huge order with the recent sales... here's a quick review of everything:

-Canvas sneakers: overly clunky toecap, runs larger thatn i expected, quality seemed good
-Brushed twill workshirt (basically flannel): fit too loose
-Garment dye oxford: fits great, quality good, great shirt for $30 that I paid
-Wool peacoat: fit huge around the midsection
-Chino short: not bad, a little too baggy, but probably keep for $12
-S/S V-neck tee: fine for $5
-Poplin shirts: really good fits, pretty lightweight fabric, smaller collars
-Canvas work bag: awsome for $20. medium weight canvas, sub-par zippers
-LS Henleys: Not slim at all
-Shall collar sweater: pretty slim fit. soft, heavy cotton.
-LS avaitor shirt: nice deep color, thicker fabric than other shifts, slim fit, epulets a little much
-Scarf/best/swinsuit: what you'd expect

I can take pics if anybody wants to see anything.

Does this stuff draw up in the wash? I ordered mostly Mediums, at 6'2 170...it fits fine but I can't afford for it to shrink much. Thinking about ordering a large but worried it's going to be way too wide.

my chambrays didn't shrink. I washed in a machine but didn't put in the dryer.

Minnesota- Can you post a few pics with the poplin? $18 for a shirt is a hell of a deal. Really interested in how it looks.

Just pulled the trigger on some medium poplins. I figured I'd post my relevant body dimensions and let people know how they fit me when they arrive, as no one who's quite my size has done so as of yet.

I'm 6'1" 155 lbs, somewhat longer torso-ed and broader shouldered. Shirt size is 15.25" at the neck and 34.5-35" at the sleeves. Suit/chest size is 38R/L.

Hm ... I imagine the poplins will fit you well in the shoulders and sleeves, but might be loose in the chest.

This is to be expected from what I've gleaned from this thread, but if they fit similarly to JCrew mediums I most likely won't bother taking them to my alterations tailor. It's hard for me to rationalize paying her $15 to perfect an $18 shirt.

Except combined you have a well fitting shirt for a decent price. The price of the item should not dictate whether or not you get it tailored.

I can offer feedback on how mine fit. At 6'2 175 - the Mediums fit pretty well. Maybe a little short - but not much. The chambray is tighter than the others. All of the shirts seem to be tighter in the shoulder/pit than other shirts in similar sizes. I'm tempted to try some larges but I think they would be huge on me.

Not sure if I'm keeping the Navy duck boots or not.

just got a couple chambrays and overdyed oxford chambrays are a good fit for my height/size: 5'8" @ 160lbs quick fit pic of the red cham overdyed ox was too long on me __________ i hate the buttons on these shirts...can anyone recommend a good online site that has a wide selection of inexpensive buttons for shirts

im looking to buy blank tees from this site, anybody have experiences with the tees?

what size is this? s or m? if you hav ea fabric store near you i would suggest just going there for buttons
