tr was talking about the Chelsea. A Chelsea should be a wholecut, imo.

I agree, and would expect that for a EG level pair. But if the seam we are seeing is the onlyone, then technicly its a wholecut ... But since there are no EG salespoints in my areas and the EG catalogue is REALY bad its difficult to tell. my2c Speed

Left one is Newmarket in burnt pine on the 88 last and the right is Gresham in mink suede on the 82 last.

I don't recall seeing any wholecut chelsea other than the RM Williams. I'm sure EG or someone else does it sometimes, but every english chelsea that I can remember has a seam on the gore panel.
