So it's 50's day at McyD's. The little workers are all dresses up in cute skirts and the whole eattery is decorated in a nice 50's style. I decided to to ask the cashier if I could order, and if they had intergrated seating. (well I didn't want to cause any problems if was really 1950's day.) She didn't get it and I had a laugh. I think it's great the latest generation doesn't have to go experience that crap.

Good job America, we can ease up on affirmative action now.

Maybe she was just being polite because your question hints of you being a racist.

Easy there. I'm a dark latino and the cashier was also latino. She was maybe 17 year younger than me and I just wanted to see what she would say. Ok, maybe I was being facetious and have a chip on my shoulder. But I've been working on it this year. It's just funny how pop culture glamorizes era's and leaves out certain dirty aspects. Maybe it's better that way.

The last time my Father was told he would have to eat in the kitchen at a restaurant it was 1983. I'm very happy things have gotten better in America.

People who wax nostalgic for the good old days that never were are the ones with a distorted view of race, not the OP.

Maybe it doesn't make a ton of sense to point that out to a McD's cashier, but I give him points for saying it anyway.

People pay extra for that now, he was just ahead of his time.

I sincerely doubt your average cashier at McDonald's would have such social tact, much less understand the meaning of the word "integration."

Well, in fairness, maybe the cashier didn't think segregation counted against Hispanics.
