I ordered a pair of wolverine rockfords from them on sale, I called to confirm the order went through and everything, a couple weeks went by and they cancelled the order and said they "no longer had them". It took a few weeks for them to refund my money. I'm sure that after taking my money for the web clearance price, they sold them in the store at full price and decided to shaft me. During the whole ordeal, I received no phone call or anything to tell me that they weren't going to fill the order. In the end they said they would give me "free shipping" on my next order. Gee, thanks...
That's fine, I'll never buy from unionmade again. It sucks because they have some nice looking Aldens, but I can live without those I suppose.
Unionmade webstore is pretty crappy but what do you expect when stuff goes on super sale and it's a online / B&M set up? And those boots were definitely on sale in store as well. If you want service get a personal shopper to pick stuff up for you or something like that.
As for other places to get Filson, I've gotten a good amount of stuff at Cable Car Clothiers in SF, just give them a call.
Someone posted something on here a little while ago about movies that feature Filson products... Since then, I pay close attention to every piece of luggage in a movie (my wife finds this extremely annoying)... Mark Wahlburg also uses a (medium, I assume) otter green duffel in Contraband.

Funny you mention that. I noticed a Filson duffel in a Ryan Reynolds/Sandra Bullock movie on tv recently. Last night I noticed the same medium or large duffel in "The Rundown" w/The Rock. I wonder if filson pays for placement or if costume departments just like the brand. I always wondered the same about Belstaff jackets, they are fairly ubiquitous in film as well.
But does anyone know any other stores that sell discounted Filson 256s?
^ CCC doesn't seem to have the tan version in stock.
Joe's Sporting Goods just recently had a sale and I have bought from them before. I just recently purchased a small tincloth duffle from them and it was backordered so I am waiting another few weeks before it ships. Not sure if they will honor a discount, but doesn't hurt to try.
I have been e-mailing Filson over the last few days and got some good info from them. It looks like the over priced proxy service for the bags is not needed for much longer for those that want them. According to Filson the Red Label bags will be sold in the US through Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom and Paragon. They did not give a specific date, but said to keep an eye on their websites in the near future.
Nordstrom does not have the red label items online, but they DO have the 256 and 257 in both tan and brown at the moment. For those that are looking. Just one of the many public services that I provide.
