Yes but wouldn't any outfit with a uniqlo tee be infinitely better with a D&G cashmere tee?

On the other hand, I don't think people should wear their $x,000 RO jacket every second day, it'd lose effect and become monotonous, no longer will it be exclusive to certain times or outfits.

+1.
I think thats dumb to think it loses its exclusiveness cause you wear it a lot.
If anything, that adds to what everyone on here is saying, rock your expensive stuff hard!
For me to justify to spend 2-3k on a piece of jacket I have to be able to wear a lot and work them in with a lot of other stuff I have.

Dumb.

You're gonna be that guy who is a peasant and only has one nice thing trying to floss to the world. They'll probably talk about how you went into debt copping it too behind your back.

well i wouldnt only spend 2-3k on one thing and only wear that. i'd probably have a lot of dope **** to rotate. (i aim to be consistent with whatever my budget allows instead of like 4 uniqlo buttondowns for the week and 1 band for the weekend)

but im not going to NOT wear smoething when i want to just b/c i won't wow people

Question was about a signature piece, yours are more daily rockable. I'm referring to something like the two tone diagonal one from spring.
