What type of hats do people wear with suits? (Or is it for those cool italian gangster mafia people...) Probably like a Navy or a Grey/Charcoal suit. Post what you think would be the best hat for both and best hat for each color suit.

Brown or gray fedora always works.

If you want to look like you belong with Al Capone, wear an Ivory fedora.

And never wear a white one.

^ whilst the above hats are great but if you are young or new to hats they might look a bit silly/make you feel a bit uncomfortable.
If you wanted to try something but didn't want a homburg or fedora I think a flat cap in a solid colour (navy blue etc,) looks fine with a suit on a younger guy, but probably only if the weather calls for it.

Oh, and obviously a panama, or even a boating hat if the weather is hot, again a bit more casual than the homburg or fedora.

With a suit? Hmmmm

Personally not a huge fan of hats with suits... more of a bygone fashion IMO, but to each their own

I think that the problems with hats is what to do with it when you are in doors or at a table and what it does to longer ungreased back hair not the way it looks when you wear it.

I'm young and I love my fedoras. I just wish I could afford an Optimo.

I also recently ordered a straw boater for my summer linen suits.

Does anyone happen to have WAWYT pictures with a Fedora/Homburg/Panama hat with a suit? I looked over at Fedora Lounge but those people tend to dress... a little weird.
