yes, whoever started marketing mexican food as healthier is a goddamned genius.

However, all three have enough marketing to make people believe they are healthier than other fast food that they tend to attract a decent looking clientele.

chipotle's tasty but the rice is just too much. If you're at columbia, taqueria around 105? and amsterdam has beastly burritos and 5 times as much selection for meat.

Another little secret. Both Chipotle and Q'Doba keep plain white rice around and will use it if you ask.

I've never known Chipotle advertisements to indicate their food was healthy in the general sense. They are certainly quick to point out that they use no additives, use hormone-free dairy, etc., and in all fairness these are among some peoples' criteria for healthy food. But anybody that thinks eating something loaded with sour cream and cheese is completely good for them is an idiot.

you can also ask for extra/double meat, but meh... With beans and the tortilla you still get like 45-50 grams of protein from a standard burrito if I remember correctly.

There's a place in Los Feliz called Yuca's. ******* awesome food. I go there probably once a week. Two words: real lard.

Are you serious? Chipotle is terrible white-washed suburban Mexican food.

But then again, I live in LA.

being in Nebraska,*edit* GOOD mexican and tex-mex are much much harder to come by than in OK.

I like the fact I get a ton of food for 7$ @ chipotle.

Baja Fresh is good, but I don't think its available here in the MW.

I am not a fan of Q'doba,Panchero's, or any of the other build your own burrito places.

Its nice because 90% of the time Chipotle is right next to Noodles and Company so if my wife or I aren't in the mood for Chipotle one of us can swing over to Noodles.

Yeah, I know the place. I grew up in the area and I'm family friends with Dora but I couldn't expect someone who's used to eating Baja Fresh all their life to make the "jump" to something remotely authentic as that. Baja Fresh>Sharky's>Yuca's>King Taco in terms of "authentic" Mexican. I'm not saying Yuca's is bad or is not legit, but King Taco is Mexican is as Mexican does.

White man's burrito.

Any time there is sour cream in a burrito, you know you're in a white neighborhood.

That's hilarious. Let me run over to the Mexican taco place here in my neighborhood in Central America and tell them they're all ******* gringos for using sour cream.
