One of those in flight "radio" things that plays music from some airline playlist. Deactivated now, but no reason to spend extra money to remove it. Southwest has some fairly old planes in service. Old planes aren't unsafe (usually, they're retired because newer planes have lower fuel costs, not because of issues with the airframe itself), but they do tend to have residual dohickeys like that from the days before everyone was lugging iPods around.
I flew on Southwest recently and this was on the armrest in between seats. It could not turn on. I don't know what this is. What is it?
