Not. A cafe bike.

I understand ya, but that bike looks streetfighter-esque. There is an argument that can be made that streetfighters are the modern day 'cafe racer'...

I havent seen people pimping their Yamaha Nouvos to that degree here, but I have seen Japanese bike magazines that are basically devoted to riceboy body modifications to scooters.

dont care about the body kit at all. I think a stock Magesty or Skywave (RR) looks good on its own, I just want a pipe and maybe coil-overs. TranScooter has some pretty wild **** in it. I would never ride about 80% of the bikes in that mag. Candy Colored, dragging on the ground, extended frame, full stereo + LCD screen monsters.

Oh and modding scooters isnt so much a fad. People have been doing it for a couple decades here. Its also nothing new to me, look at my older posts for example.

Insurance is cheap, parking is cheap, and I dont need to take it for 2-year inspections (which cost around $800 before repairs!)

Just get like a burgman 650 or something - it goes up to 100mph, and you can easily cut through traffic and park it, and, best of all, ride it in a nice suit and shoes and not get them messed up.

Called the Skywave over here. Problem with that is anything over a 250cc and I will get raped on insurance as well as the two year inspections. At that point I might as well buy a "real" bike or **** even like a Kei Car. Also to ride anything over a 400cc I would need to get my Liter license which you can only get after the 400cc license anyway.

^ The 848 is great! I have actually been to the dealer several times to trade in my bike for one... Haven't actually pulled the trigger yet but will probably soon.

I have ridden it several times and enjoyed it everytime. It's the same size as your average sport bike... The handeling and acceleration through the turns really impressed me.

Note: I have never ridden the 1098 but the 848 is more than enough for me, I'm upgrading from an 07 R6.

Oh my. The 848 is probably my ideal unjustifiable bike indulgence. Which means, even though I have no one else to answer to, I will probably never own one. Even so, I vicariously enjoy them every time I see one.

For now I'll stick with the sport and the ongoing fantasy (don't let my sport hear about it) of finding a more all-purpose bike, and dream about driving a real rally car in real rally races and a real track bike on real tracks.
