Real World DC - Page 7

Apparently, if you guys want to hang out in the front yard of the Real World house, you can thanks to the law that says it's public land.

Quote:
So what does the law say?

"Any area between the property line and the building restriction line shall be considered as private property set aside and treated as public space under the care and maintenance of the property owner."

Basically what that means is most property owners in the District don't own the land between their front door and the sidewalk, but they are responsible for taking care of it. It's why you can get a ticket for drinking beer on your front porch in the Nation's Capital. You're technically on public space. It's also why the city can ticket you for parking in your own driveway if you don't pull your car deep enough into the driveway beyond the façade of your house or building.

I kinda want to hit on one of the chicks... preferably which ever one is the crazy horny one. Adam, who lives across the street and writes the anti-real world blog, pussed out on throwing that party. They have some hardcore security outside of their house harassing residents in the neighborhood too.

Supposedly, if you get bothered, you just call 311 and complain to the real cops.

Fuck that, I'd call 911. I read the story though. The guy should have broken out his camera phone. There are like 25 park police officers and none are in the Dupont area.

Yeah, it's the "Real World," so I would have started recording the incident on my phone. And when you see the park police, you know it's the park police. It'd be entertaining to see if things ever got so out of hand they have to stop half-way through the season and move them elsewhere, like Frederick, MD.

I was out of town for the weekend but one of my friends was having her birthday party at Public on Friday night and the RWDC cast made an appearence. She spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the cast to come over to their table before several of our other friends threatend to tar and feather her if she persited, birthday or no. She was actually upset that they didn't want to be on Real World...
