Hmmmm....just got off the phone with him and he didn't say anything about it. Thanks for the heads-up Dave!Just talked to Robert on the phone (not trying to blow up your spot here bud!) and all sale items just unexpectedly went an extra 25% off in-store only today (online tomorrow). The in-store price is already about 25% cheaper than the online sale price, so if youre looking for anything then now is the time to call you SA
Quick question guys.
Recently got a leather rrl belt (awesome belt!)
Wore it for the first time today, for about 8 hours.
I wore it on a pair of very light khaki chinos.
There is dark staining on the pants all the way around.
I thought this only happened with belts with dyes, or cheap belts.
This seems like un-dyed leather...and not cheap obviously.
Is this common with RRL leather belts? This is my first one.
If so, any ideas? Should I use a wax on it or something? Or just deal with it.
Thanks guys!
ps. it did not get wet or anything in any way.

I've had this sort of happen with shell cordovan belts (the part that's folded over). I don't think it's correlated to quality much. Here are some pics. Belt is marked "100% leather and made in Italy".
You can see the staining on the pants in the first pic (it's like that all the way around the pants). Never got wet or anything. Was just out Christmas shopping for the day and thats what my pants looked like afterwards.
I mean, it probably wouldn't show up on darker pants...but I always thought like cheapo mall brand belts were the ones that did this. (this is my first RRl belt)
Second pic is the inside of the belt that was touching the pants
