In the 3 seasons I have been buying RRL I have only missed out on one item (size L) I really wanted by waiting for the bigger discounted sale....even then I eventually got over it. JAT

About the peacoat - if I remember correctly, the previous one had horn buttons with the anchor surrounded by 13 stars. Is it just me or does switching to typical-looking peacoat buttons (gloss plastic with just the anchor) really knock it down a few notches and make it look cheaper?

(And to completely peacoat-nerd out, the 13-star ones match the pre-WWII coat it's modeled after...)
So in the description it says "Genuine 13-star engraved anchor buttons", but when you zoom in on the photo the buttons clearly look different from last years... Hopefully it's just the picture that's wrong. Anyone seen it in person yet to confirm?

Same buttons are used on D&S and Rugby peacoat as far as I can tell.. it may be an error/mistype on the site. - unless the as pictured button is the 'genuine 13 star' one...

Dug up some pics of a pair of low straights. Need to wear them more. I thought the fading looked excessive but they actually dont look too bad

Just my opinion, but I think you'd look better in straight legs. These low straights shorten your lower body. The big shoes juxtaposed against the skinny bottom of the jean accentuates this.

I would need to see in person - that Washington boot looks strangely bulbous.

It's that top view. Definitely would need to try on person to see if it's just the camera angle. It looks really odd in that photo.
