This thread is for all tri-state aficionados.

Where do you go to get your clothing?

I usually jump on the Ben Franklin and head into Philly to shop, but I'm curious if I'm missing other great stores in different areas.

The shopping here is pretty weak. Your best bets are Sugar Cube and Matthew Izzo on 3rd St in Old City, Reward on 2nd in Old City, and the new Barney's Co-Op on 18th right off Rittenhouse Square.

Reward on 2nd street is a very cool store. The girl who owns it is from my hometown and thats how I found out about it, very nice stuff.

The Barney's is new to me though, how recent is it?

To be honest the more I go into Philly the more I get sick of it. Its like you see 30 kids laughing at condom kingdom and you can get a decent cheese stake.

Thats it.

The Barneys CO-OP isn't too bad. They carry the standard fare with a few surprises (martin margiela + jewelry, paul smith, and comme), its the 2nd place in the city where you can buy APC apparel and denim (other than sugarcube)

I was there earlier this week for a recruiting event - stoped by the Barneys and they also have a few PRPS jeans

if you're in Philly, why don't you just buy a $20 round trip ticket on the chinatown bus to NYC?

Hahaha that's true, but the thing is I always go with friends and they ALWAYS want to go to south street so I kinda have to because I don't know my way around the city alone.

step 1: grab philly weekly step 2: ditch your friends for a weekend step 3: explore on your lonesome You probably won't die I promise. It really is a great city if you know what you're doing.
