I appreciated all the suggestions and reviewed the watches online. I took the day off today and picked my parents up and off we went to the AD for JLC/Omega/Vacheron/UN/IWC/Panerai etc...Zadok Jewellers in Houston.
My dad and I walked to the watches side..and mom went to the jewellery... We kept pulling watches out...and the field was narrowed to the IWC Portugese, Omega Sea/Railmaster, VC Patrimony, JLC Master Grand Ultrathin....I encouraged my father to try all of them on his wrist to see which one he liked best....and after 10 short minutes of trying them on....he was clearly smitten by the JLC Grand Master Ultrathin....
I went to the side with the owner...check written...and the new JLC is now my dad's!!! This watch purchase made me so excited and happy.....I felt like a teenager who just got handed the keys to a sports car!! Its a special pleasure to buy my dad a watch.
