My life is pathetic; I was at a loss as to what to do the last couple of days.

Thanks J

Although only a newbie, I can truly say I missed checking in on the forum during the course of my day.

Glad to have this forum back. I was getting tired of relying only on AAAC. I could only take so much of that drivel on trad clothing -- sack suits, BD shirts, clown-like patch madras pants, etc. How many threads can you have on sack suits and the ever depressing offerings from JPress. When is the Press going out of business sale?

Don't be mean, bry. -- they have their interests and we have ours....

I'm on that forum too, but I'm much more on this one. Very glad it's back.

Yes, welcome back. I got way too much work done in the past few days.

Honestly, I'd use Ask Andy's forum a lot more if the interface was like the styleforum's.

J, will you need/want to switch hosts again?

Ditto; the funny thing is, even though SF was down, I still kept checking back throughout the course of the day to see if it was back up. Glad things are back to normal.

Glad to have this forum back. Â I was getting tired of relying only on AAAC. Â I could only take so much of that drivel on trad clothing -- sack suits, BD shirts, clown-like patch madras pants, etc. Â
I thought I could get my clothing fix over there, but was surprised that it has gotten even worse since I was there a few months ago. I mean, what is with those guys... some of the posts on there are using grammer and vocab straight out of an 19th century novel. I know most of us pride ourselves on being "gentleman," and having sophistocated taste, but that doesn't mean you have to start writing like Charles Dickens. Also the obsession with old money, WASP, lifestyle was just too much... It seems like post after post is about what type of haircut, dog, house, clothes these people have... just plain ridiculous. I suspect that some of the guys on there parading like WASPs are in fact, probably jews from the bronx

. However, there are some good posts on there, you just have to look.

Agreed on every point, particularly with regard to being "gentlemen". Do gentlemen truly have to point out that they are gentlemen at every turn?

Welcome back. I blame SF's absence for my unfortunate participation in the inane "WASP's have bad hair" thread over on AAAC.
