I've seen people talk about how raw denim tends to lose its sheen. I've been working on some NCs for about 4 months now, and the have gotten a ton softer so i starched them with heavy duty spray on starch. They have gotten that great sheen back. 'm not sure how many other people have figured this out but I though I'd just share anyways.

The sheen of raw denim can also come from the cloth being very compact. After you've worn them for a long time, they will start to pick up a sheen again.

I'm noticed on my most worn raw denim, the pairs that have over a year of wear in them, the sheen has returned to them a little bit as the material wears out. It's really noticeable in my Acne raws, they almost look like a treated/waxed denim at this point.

P.S. - the mods should give you a 12 hour ban for spelling denim as "l)3n1mz"

startch + hot crotch + not washing your jeans = formula for success (or a yeast infection)

I love the stiffness of raw denim; I've already starched my jeans like mad even though they are only 2 weeks old (about 5 days of hard wear softened them up pretty good). The stiffness doesn't last long.....

and it smells like fish.

Or at least a blown-out crotch. The first place to go a pair of jeans always tends to be the crotch, and putting extra starch there will just cause them to rip earlier.

Plus, the yeast infection sucks.
