Building My Wardrobe From Scratch Post Weight-Loss

Also, the only caveat about G Inglese is that their sizing is not consistent. I have some 38s and 39s - and quite a few had to be altered a little by my tailor - while others fit perfectly. I *think* they may be a little more consistent now - at least if you're buying via NMWA. Re: Drake's I...

Building My Wardrobe From Scratch Post Weight-Loss

I don't know if I've found a perfect polo for me yet. Maybe I should try PS? The Armoury does have a structured collar and works great under tailoring (which is why I got one). However it is too long to wear untucked and looks a little baggy around the waist if not worn with a jacket IMO The...

Building My Wardrobe From Scratch Post Weight-Loss

Since we seem to have similar tastes I'll weigh in on this one. I also started buying clothes after I got into exercise and slimmed down a little (maybe only 10lbs or so - not quite as dramtic as your weight loss). I'm 5' 10" and around 138lbs - so a pretty slim frame. Your body type...

٭٭٭ No Man Walks Alone - Official Affiliate Thread ٭٭٭ (a.k.a. I shouldn't have slept on it)

Finally got my Senior pictures back today... :) I love the GI gun club check - but the sizing is a little different than the two linen herringbone jackets - the cuffs are a lttle too tight and the body length is a little on the short side but I still really like this jacket - beautiful fabric!

Here's a batch of pics I took today and yesterday. These pair some of my favorite vintage camp collar shirts with various Rota linen trousers. I love how linen pants have given life to my collection of vintage shirts. Linen pants are probably the only tailored trousers that work with these...

The Armoury - Official Affiliate Thread

Can you tell me what size Safari II the model is wearing (and their chest size) on the site? I typically wear a S or 38/48 and I see the M is pretty close to S

I see the small Safari II is already sold out. Will you be restocking this season?

Looks way too big to my eye. Personally I think the over-sized, relaxed etc. look works best on bigger guys (and maybe the 18-30ish y/o demo - regardless of size). If you're thin and taller than average (and esp with spindly arms and legs like myself) you might end up looking like a scarecrow...

Yes, maybe once I can travel again - it'd be worth it to stop in and get measured at the shop. I just did a quick inventory and out of my 31 GI full placket button downs - only 6 needed alterations. The other 80% were fine...

I personally find GI sizing a little erratic. They are definitely my favorite shirt maker when it comes to overall style, fabrics, and collars but the fit can be frustrating at times. I mainly stick w/ a 38 as I've found the 39 is too wide in the shoulder. The trade off is that the 38 is...

The unofficial Drake's London Appreciation Thread

My favorite five pocket cords are from Cavour. They are made in Italy, have a narrow wale and a superior replacement to my vintage Levi cords which are pretty much all threadbare by now. Unfortunately they don't have any in stock right now - hopefully they will get some addt'l colors for FW21. I...

Here's some Valstar Valstarino (48) pics from this afternoon. I know I'm not blowing any minds w/ this tried and true combo Levi's (32), GI Blue Oxford (38) but it's cool to see how the dark Caffe suede looks in different lighting conditions.
