Smiths Deluxe A456 1959 "Everest Range"

Smiths Deluxe A456 1959 "Everest Range"

Decided to list my vintage Smiths Deluxe watch reluctantly as I feel it's just a bit small for me (7.5" wrists)

This is a 1959 model no. A456 and is classed as an Everest range watch as it is closely related to the watch as used by Sir Edmund Hillary on his Everest Summit.

made in the Cotswold's England featuring a manual winding 17 jewel movement which is running well and keeping decent time. I have not actually tested the timekeeping but it seems pretty good.

gold plating is in decent shape with some light wear, mostly at end of lugs.

Dial is in great shape with just an aged look appropriate of its age. No moisture damage or scratches etc.

Overall a very clean, original example this was purchased for UK specialist Rollinix Smiths Watches and was serviced prior to sale. His servicing prices are very reasonable for future reference.

Just asking what I paid for this watch. I really like it but realistically it's just to small for me I feel. Will be sad to see it go. These watches are very collectible and have been gradually appreciating over the years.

UK based and postage within the Uk will be £7. I can post worldwide but will need to look into costs on an individual basis.
