This is my favorite watch that I’ve ever owned. Perfect size (37 mm x 9.7 mm), best date function I’ve ever seen, no extraneous functions, always enjoy wearing it. I’ve been looking for what seems like forever for a yellow gold, white dial dress watch that I like as much (and won’t have to mortgage my house for) and haven’t found one yet… not even the version of this watch in yellow gold and a white dial.

Here’s the babele tuns strap. I like the padding and 20 - 18 taper instead of the more extreme 20 - 16 taper I had on the Delugs croc.

I don’t think I’d get another strap that uses babele leather though. It looks a little too much like denim. It is super comfortable and pliable which is nice, but yeah. If I wanted casual I think nubuck or suede > babele.

I know very little of the Daniel Roth brand, and haven’t liked the feel of non-round watches I’ve tried… but this DR watch on sale at European Watch Company is absolutely beautiful.

@Ebitdaddy Where do you get your Roth watch serviced if an issue arises?

Bvlgari is responsible for it and would service it which is nice since there are quite a few of them.

Haven't worn this for a while. Do like it, but don't love it. If I had the requisite motivation to rightsize my collection, would probably move it on.

Where does this guy get his (incorrect) information from?

I at down with Davide, the new CEO, the week after W&W and he assured me that the brand is not giving up on its custom unit which makes co-branded watches for military and police units all over the world.

As it represents almost 20% of their turnover, they would have to be stupid - and they aren't. Also, contrary to widespread gossip, they are not giving up on their UK made movements, which - obviously - will be at the same higher price point than the new stuff.
