Hello,

I'm currently in the transition stage of "dressing" more mature. I've recently purchased some suits, which is fine and all ,but I would like some advice on a blazer/sport coat for a more casual yet sharp look. I will mostly like to pair the blazer/sport coat with jeans (slim, clean dark wash) and Chinos. Also, i'm aiming for a more simple yet versatile approach in regards to colors and patterns, therefore i'm thinking grey and navy solid colors.

I'm on the fence of if some J Crew options such as https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens_catego...eed/C8778?color_name=classic-grey-herringbone or https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens_catego...in-stretch-cotton/G0532?color_name=light-grey

However, I am money conscious so I would like to be able to wear the blazer/sport coat year around for winter and summer, so will the tweed sport coat be out of the question? Or is it fine to wear tweed during the summer? Or do you think that the 2nd choice would be fine for the summer and winter wear?

If you guys know of any other brands or material that has the versatility and price point i'm looking for please suggest it.

Thanks

You don't say where you live and so it is very difficult to comment on year round use. The price stated is confusing, priced in sterling yet referring to duties having been paid, but. if it is the USA, Alaska or Texas?

Tweed is an odd choice for summer but these look to be a fashion statement rather than classis tailoring so I would guess they might be OK - unlined as well which would help.

Year-round sport coat is difficult. Sport coats are inherently more seasonally specific than suits. The only potential year-round sport coat cloth that comes to mind is a mid-weight hopsack (navy is classic, but difficult to wear with denim... gray is easier to wear with denim, but difficult to wear with much else). Would highly recommend getting separate summer and winter sport coats if your budget allows.
