In case you missed the recently squirreled thread highlight thread?

Is there some way to have a text message sent to my phone when a poster or a thread starts to approach meltdown? I've been missing far too many of these flameouts lately.

I would think that a subscription to the squirrel forum would be a good revenue stream for J and the gang.

... it was the smallest flame-out I can recall.

I'm a fan of good malapropisms, but Roland might have had perhaps three good ones in some two hundred posts. Assuming we're still talking about him...

Yeah, AFAIK nothing he said has been squirreled. I think that would just add value to it. It's all still there to read and silently groan over.

Well, IMHO (and I am not even a fan of past popular trolls) he showed a distinct lack of flair and imagination, which he made up for by having a a slight vitriolic edge. Won't be missed.

Exactly. It wasn't funny or offensive. Just a waste of space.

Can I pose a question?

How about posters that do so with the sole motive of generating traffic for their own site. Without any forum participation. If they have an agreement with SF for profit sharing it shut up. Otherwise il be more specific. You might even know what im talking about

The kid ninja is out for a week.

People who post only to bring people to their site, I don't know. Usually, if it's on topic, I allow it as long as they're not just coming on and posting a link. I'll think about it.

Oh and I was not talking about "MAKERS" people of trade that we are interested in. But rather bloggers and more superficial "leaches" ...

I would say they could post and participate, but limit their "leach" to their signature. Just a suggestion.
