To your preference, but I would take the shirt sleeve up to where the jacket sleeve is now, then the jacket 1/4" above that. Also, do a forum search on "jacket sleeve", "shirt sleeve" and "wrist bone" and you'll find lots of discussion as to where people like their sleeves to hang. You can also trawl through pages of the What Are You Wearing Right Now thread and see lots of examples of what various people do and see what you like.

yes RLPL wool and a hint of cashmere. you SF freaks dang! i wonder if he'll charge me more if i need to go through the shoulders ... sounds like a risky and major operation
I'm wondering why an "expert" tailor would put working buttonholes at this sleeve length and whether this could be fixed without going into the shoulders. Looks like a nice suit, Purple Label?
