I was in London this past weekend, and I picked up a two-sided brush for my clothing. I've used it a few times, and each time it leaves a pool of bristles on the floor.

Please tell me this is only temporary...

How hard are you brushing? I have a few Kent 2-sided brushes and had just a few hairs come out during the first few uses.

Good thought, but not nearly hard enough that bristles should be coming out... I had probably 100 come out

Yeah, this is news to me -- I've had one for years and haven't even noticed a bristle fall.

I also have a Kent 2-sided clothing brush and never had bristles fall out. I've been using it almost daily for two years. You have a defective brush.

Thank you for all the responses gentlemen. I put an email into Kent asking for a replacement. Since the cost of shipping it back to the UK is almost the entire price of the brush, I'm curious to see how they'll handle this...

Not quite sure either, I just give it to Sanders, my butler, and he does something with the suits with it.

Yes. The softer bristles can be used to brush dust from jackets (store a dark suit in a closet for some time and you'll see what I mean) or other crap on sweaters, pants, whatever, and the harder bristles can be used to remove dried mud from pants, etc.

An update...

Kent has offered to ship me a new brush, free of charge, and I don't have to return the defective one.

I recently purchased one as well. Can anyone offer advice on how to properly use it? Niether side is clearly softer than the other. The bristles also appear to be too tough on my clothes although I haven't really used it much yet to adequetely tell (afraid to ruin some clothes). I believe I also read somewhere about brushing the insides of one's trousers. Is that correct or just my mistaken memory (should that be with steaming though?)?

Thanks

Cordovan
