What jeans should I get at Saks ($200 certificate)?

I don't know too much about nice denim, but I know enough to realize that some brands are more "overpriced" here than others. For $200 or a bit more (I have a certificate that I may as well spend), which brands at Saks are better deals than others? Thanks.

Better deals? Is Final Cut still on? I think the best brand that Saks carries is Earnest Sewn but I could be mistaken. In any case, I'd try to find some nice ES jeans.

I'd say Ernest Sewn as well. Try and get a pair with the half-selvage, it's pretty neat.

If you don't really want to spend it there, i'm sure you could sell it to someone you know or on the forums for a tiny bit less. I usually sell my gift cards if i don't want anything from the store. You could pick up some decent shoes, basics, etc... from saks. Earnest Sewns fit pretty nicely and some of their washes aren't bad. I'd personally either sell it or get some shoes like purcells, or vintage stan smiths or something.

you can typically get 90-95% value for selling certificates on ebay.

I wouldn't say this. There are plenty of great jeans that aren't from Japan or NZ.

some of you are idiots. Good jeans aren't exclusive to japan. I wonder what some of you are going to wear when *** jeans are done in SF, like nudie.

Actually, only one person in this thread implied that. And I would probably avoid calling them "***" jeans.
