I can use some help, I'm looking for Suit brands that aren't slim cut per say but with a slightly taken in look (possiblity this can be done with tailoring). I'm a musician that wears suits for vintate styling (50') rock n roll, but don't want hassle of old suits, but a recent suit brand that will work for a stage (not the pimp style suits) and not a business office per say. I'm more of black suit or mono colors and a cut that is not boxy or baggy. Trendy is ok as long as it's classic vibe. I have a Oxxford suit, that's good quality, but even after tailoring it's more of a boxy fit (jacket), and the croch drop and legs can only be taiored so much.

There are a ton of pre-owned suits by SuitSupply with a slim fit.

Suitreview.net has nice NWT but previous year models.

This seller on eBay also has quite a few suits.

I have no connection to either other than as a satisfied customer.

I'd be looking to buy used first if possible (e.g. ebay) but open to options. Budget is about $500 so that's why I'm in the used category, I'm located in Santa Rosa CA about 1 hour north of San Francisco.

I’ve bought a couple of used Brioni suits on eBay from vendors in the US (I’m in the UK) and have been pleased with what I got. You should be able to find something within your budget. If you find something you like and are wondering about its authenticity, you can post a question, with pics, in the relevant thread here: https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...ne-etc-official-authentication-thread.231002/

I really like Italian tailoring; a lot of people will say that the best tailors are from Naples - Cesare Attolini is one of the big names to conjure with, but seriously expensive, even used.

I know San Francisco quite well, and was going to recommend as a source of nice used items Seconds to Go, which if memory serves was at the junction of Fillmore and Clay. I say "was" because I just looked it up and it seems to have closed permanently, more’s the pity!

My dream is to get a tailored suit by Sartoria Sala Bianca in Florence.

Husbands Paris would fit your aesthetic but unfortunately out of your budget. But check it out to get a sense of their styling.
