I just bought a slim fit suit. Great feel and quality, unfortunately the pants are extremely slim. It was so slim that I had a little difficulty getting my foot through the bottom. When I tried them on with my shoes I didn't like the way it looked.

I have two questions...should slim fit pants fall right above the shoe, or on the shoe?

Is it proper to put a cuff on a pair of pants like that?

If they're the type of pants that I'm thinking of, then yes, they probably should rest above the shoe with even a little bit of your socks showing. Kudos if you can pull of this type of look, as few men can. Oh, and don't cuff them.

That's very, very slim. More than I'd probably do. Anyway, yeah, hem them short so they just touch the top of the shoe. And some people do like cuffs on slim pants, but I've never tried it. If you do it, get them 1-7/8" at least, so people know you did it on purpose.

I'm going to take them back to my tailor, and get the hemmed up a little bit more. I was considering buying another pair pants, a size bigger and just having them altered.

I have other slim fit suits, but this is the slimmest that I've dealt with. I was trying to find pictures of men wearing one, but it's often difficult, because most pictures get cut off by the ankles, or blur at the bottom, so you really don't get a good look.
