Any word on the Carmina burgundy museum calf double monks? I know there was talk of an order being placed for Skoak. I'd love a burgundy museum boot too, or if that could be figured out as a GMTO. I really like the marbling effect on the burgundy calf more than brown.

I'd jump on the Simpson one if I knew how they fit me. I'm worried about them being too narrow.

Eg is and will like always be no.1 for me the lasts and general aesthetics appeal to me. I will order a couple of pairs of St.C (one in the works) but everything skoak offers is aesthetically different. Something for everyone.

Now if only leaves could stock a pair of phillip II's in plum

I don't view St.C as being better than EG just different. At some point the apex of quality is reached and then it just comes down to a matter of taste. I know hand lasting is more preferable than GYW but honestly with how this crowd cares for and wears their shoes gemming failure is not as a likely IMO.

In terms of the gemming, for the way that we all have so many pairs and take so much care of the pairs, it doesn't make that big of a difference, especially if we send them back to the manufacturer for recrafting.

I'm seriously considering ordering these as my second pair of StC. I have EG Galway coming from February preorder and these will be perfect match.

In terms of the gemming, for the way that we all have so many pairs and take so much care of the pairs, it doesn't make that big of a difference, especially if we send them back to the manufacturer for recrafting. 

In this context, I'd say it doesn't make any practical difference at all. I have plenty of both, and I seriously doubt that the residents of one camp will outlast the residents of the other. I'm a huge fan of EG, G&G, Vass and St. C. They all bring something unique to the table in the context of premium RTW shoes.

Here is a pic from the St Crispin thread. I'll try and get some more. I've yet to master the shoe selfie.

Sailor last, 608, not sure on the shrunken leather just said similar contrast as EG DOAK/Walnut CC. Storm to ball welt with all exposed eyelets and leather laces.

I was redoing the shoe laces on the Adelaide wingtips and noticed even the tongue is brogued. Nice details.

@Leaves in regards to St. Crispins Lasts would you be able to make comparisons to other Lasts of other shoemakers you currently sell. I currently have 2 St Crispins but both of these are on the Sailor's Last and I am interested in trying some of the other ones as well. I know with regard to actual fitting we should contact you guys directly but I thought if you might be able to compare them a bit it might give some others a general idea as well.

The StC Mod 631 look interesting to me.  Might have to get a pair.  Never had deer skin shoes

Deer skin is very nice. I have a pair of Chelsea boots from another brand in a prune or burgundy colored deerskin. It is very soft and supple but quite tough too. It has a nice grain to it as well.

They look great and the 804 last really works well with an Adelaide wingtip style. The natural sole edge has a nice pop too

That would be a great idea for general comparisons with EB,EG, GG, Carmina, etc.
