RL andando vs. AE

They look nice, but many people here are skeptical about RL's Italian-made shoes.

I have no real experience with this shoe, but i have to think they are on par (or close enough)with AE. What AE shoe are you considering? If you like them equaly, go with the cheaper one.

That RL is about the same price (after discount) as AE's captoe blucher. I would go with the RL for that beautiful wheeling, which AE no longer produce. Quality wise, I am guessing that they are as good as AE, if not better.

Personally, I would prefer the AE Clifton as well (assuming you're looking for a similar style in AE's lineup). While it is a "blobbier" shoe, AE's recrafting service means that the shoes will last indefinitely with proper maintenance.
