ok, so some people distrust vacinations, and don't vacinate their kids. one such family goes to switzerland for vacation and brings back sick kids, and then take the kids to day care, a pool, and fly to hawaii, thus infecting about 60 other little kids, some of whoms parents also don't believe in vacination and some whose kids are just too young to vacinate.

anybody have any opinions on this?

Public health concept: herd immunity. Not only do you put your kids at risk, you put other's kids at risk by not getting the shots.

Glad I got mine all them years ago as I am planning on spending some time in Coronado this summer

Driving down there later today. I hadn't planned on interacting with children while there, but thanks to your heads up I will know to stay away from street urchins.

Those parents probably feel terrible, but they might also feel a lawsuit in their near future. That was pretty irresponsible of them.

Safety from disease because kids get vaccinations is a public good. Parents who choose to not vaccinate their children because they think they know better than doctors put everyone at risk. They should be held publicly liable.

Frankly I was shocked to read that a new ABC show's pilot episode was about a lawyer suing a pharma company over their child getting autism from a vaccination. It has been proven that there is no link between the two, yet people continue to think they know better. Then a major broadcaster supports this misbelief.
