Church's! Check out herringshoes, the stock several styles. Having had both the softer Jason and the hard leather heel Ajax I personally felt the Jason were far more comfortable. The Ajax stayed hard and stiff despite long wear and if you have hard floors they are pretty loud walking around (like street shoes with leather sole).

Thanks a lot! The Jason don't have a heel so they look more like house shoes, and the Ajax are no longer available unfortunately. Any thoughts on the aesthetic of these shoes? Wearing them out, I mean. I'm not looking for home slippers. Would these work with ripped black jeans?

I'm specifically looking for leather over velvet to go with this look as I believe velvet to be too formal, am I right in thinking that?

In this case, I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question not recognizing that you were looking for pumps/dress slippers. The Church slippers (even the Ajax) are house shoes. Not many manufacturers of dress slippers left these days I believe as this style of shoe has been superseded by the (in my opinion more elegant) patent leather plain toe oxford in combination with black or white tie, whilst you might still see it being worn more often with a smoking in private environments. Edward Green or Crockett & Jones still do a model of these slippers, depending on what you're willing to spend.

These are most like the ones in the OP's pic. They're less formal than the ones others have posted.
Rider had a GMTO with something in between: https://riderboot.com/shop/tramp-loafer-pre-order/
J Fitzpatrick has a similar model, but they have a medallion. He does MTO's w/o medallion too, or did.
Carmina and Alfred Sargent have them as MTO too.
Shipton Heneage have them in lots of different leathers and fabrics.

Woah those are really nice! (riderboot)
Thanks! Will check out the others too
