John Varvatos; as good as Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece???

Checked out C21 and saw some JV mainline suits. They're made in Italy by Lardini and seem to have a full canvas (like Golden Fleece). They even had the extra underarm protection/lining you see in high-end suiting.

Can anybody confirm if they're fully or half canvassed?

Wondering if the GF comparison is apt since they're both made by Lardini.

Most mainstream brands are not super popular here. It is quite possible no members have experience with JV.

John Varvatos suits are decent, probably worth it on sale. I wouldn't consider them even close to Brooks in general.

Comparing Varvatos to Brooks Brothers, ya might get people on the side of Varvatos. Comparing it to BBGF however, people will probably side with Golden Fleece. I have more experience dealing with Golden Fleece than Varvatos and I personally like Golden Fleece more. It really all depends on the person you ask. If you want Varvatos, you should get it. It's your personal style, not ours.

I'm actually wondering if the quality of JV mainline is equivalent to Golden Fleece. They're suiting is made by the same company.
