How are side pleats and center pleats on a shirt supposed to be ironed? I've always ironed my pleats all the way down to the shirt's end. Is that the right way? Is their a wrong way? How do you iron the pleats on the sleeve? All the way up to the shoulders?

I'd be interested in knowing this as well. I actually don't iron in my pleats at all (back of shirt, sleeves). I iron everything smooth and then just sort of let the pleats set themselves after ironing.

Any shirts I have look best with the pleats ironed. I press the side pleats usually about 3 inches long and a center pleat about 6-7 inches long. Pleats on the sleeve coming off the cuff are usually just a few inches long. I do press the shirt sleeve flat which gives a pressed seam running down the top and along the bottom of the shirt sleeve.
