how much do you pay for "extreme" internet?

I currently have a spotty 30 mbps connection. Paying 10-15 usd per month, no caps.
If I should sign for 24 months, I can get 100mbps for 10-15 usd. No caps.

They didn't have the caps with cable/DSL first came out. They're being implemented now in an attempt to keep a lid on rampant file-sharing, which has costs for the ISPs. The throttling is also newish.Originally Posted by GQgeek

Part of the problem is infrastructure: the US is a very large country with it's populations well spread out from coast to coast, thus it's expensive and takes a lot of time to fully upgrade the entire system.

I don't pay for all my content, but I pay for a big chunk of it. Regardless, if you pay for a certain amount of bandwidth and monthly transfer, the ISP has no business throttling you imo.
