MTO Dover in Heavily antiqued Bauxite will be sold by me in February.

size is 9.5/10D in 606

i have seen this shoe before, it is very exquisite and beautiful.

unfortunately, i have come across a santoni fam that is very similar to that and need to unload the dover.

santoni fam is similar in color to bauxite, although bauxite is more red tint and more variegated antiqued. santoni has a handstitched apron and reverse toe seam as well with double sole.

i cannot keep both so i have to unload the dover. if i was very rich i would definitely keep both.

pictures of the Dover will come when i receive.
thanks

hmm...quickreply seems to be broken for me...

I wonder what your expectations are on price. I would guess that you paid a premium for the mto service and the benefit of that service will be lost on the buyer. Indeed, the MTO nature of the shoe may work against the buyer.

Not sure if this comment is appropriate in a sales thread but leaving out the price is what prompted the question. From the b&s faq:

Firm asking prices are necessary unless you are running an auction, in which case, it must be clearly described as such, and the auction process must be transparent.

Anyhow, I'll remove the comment if you like.

Wouldn't you want to keep the MTO shoes rather than the RTW? I'm a fan of the FAMs so either way, you'll have a nice pair of shoes.

the MTOs for handsewns are in the $1200s including ship and everything.

i was given a slight discount for having a few MTOs being made at once from Tom at LeatherSoul, a very nice gesture.

I will be selling them at slightly below my cost to offset the nature of MTO not being had for the buyer. of course, there maybe those who wanted a bauxite dover.
and as desperation ensues, i will let go of them at lower cost.

we will see in february thanks.

honestly, stop buying shoes. it seems all you are doing is buying brand new shoes at retail, deciding you don't like them, and then unload them at a loss.

Until Feb can you at least draw a picture of both shoes and diagram the difference? Hehehe.

These Dovers are just incredible. I hope they find a good home.
