Captain Stubing's Love Boat belonged to Princess.
That is not my favorite line.
Captain Picard's ship is a bit too swift for my preferred cruise speed.
Kirk's older model is juuuuust right.

I'm actually reading the Laurence King-published book Cruise this week. Standards have definitely fallen through; the dress codes are as in thrall to the vagaries of fashion dictates as anywhere else. Which, naturellement, is a shame, as one should certainly seek to suit the grandeur of a Floating City

Unless your wife is feeling particularly elegant, I'd opt for the suit or at most, a casual party dinner jacket with shawl lapels. And a louche attitude
