Good afternoon,

What's the "rule" on collar rolls as it pertains to sport shirts? It is my understanding that on a OCBD a roll is a must but what about other sport shirts? I've noticed that most sport shirts, like those one may find at J Crew such as their secret washed shirts don't have a collar roll at all. However, at Brooks Brothers even their sport shirts have a roll to them. Obviously, I don't plan on wearing them with a tie and will probably be untucked about 50% of the time anyway. But, is it still advisable to have a sport shirt with a nice roll?

All button down collars look better with a nice roll. This mostly just means a tall collar. Don't settle for an anemic wimpy little baby collar.

LOL! I love this...and thanks for the input. One thing I noticed is that I feel like the "baby collars" are a trend vs a nicer roll is more timeless. But, I have no idea....just a feeling I get.
