Took back the coat with some others for alterations. Here's the new fit. But I need your advice - two-roll-3 or true 3?! At first I thought 2.5, but now, I'm leaning to 3.

EDIT: Ignore the rest of the outfit, that was just me at a friend's party.

I assume it would be easy to thrift some decent horn buttons and ask a tailor to replace them? It kind of bugs me too, they feel cheap and slippery in my hands.

Yeah, the buttons look too cheap. It seems to fit you nicely but the coat looks like it's flaring at the bottom so the quarters are opened at an angle (or maybe it's all that junk in your trunk

).

Definitely roll the lapels. The three-button looks too constricted. It's also more consistent with the open quarters below.

So quick relevant question: it's easy for the suitmaker to revise a 3-button down to the rolled 2.5? I'm getting a suit made, and told him 3 but meant 2.5 w/rolled lapel.

Yes, great photos. Thanks, it's always interesting to see workshops in different places.

Yes, would take him maybe ten, fifteen minutes.

If it's stitched yes. Fused, maybe not.

'Fraid so...also I was kind of weirdly postured.

Good point.

Thanks everyone for giving me critique on the first round so it could come out decent this time!
