I really like the Brooks Brothers Milano suit, esp. the high armhole construction and slim fit. I also recently purchased a Fitzgerald suit and am unhappy w/it, at least by comparison to the Milano suit. I'd like to find alternate suits that are similar to the Milano fit and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance, Charles

Brooks Black Fleece will be a lot more similar to the Milano cut.

Some stuff by Suit Supply as a cheaper option, too.

Also J. Crew Ludlow as a cheaper option.

If Milano works, why not stick with that?

There aren't many colors in Milano. I have 4 of them and the others aren't as nice. I was hoping for a little more variety and if other suits (not just from BB) are a close fit to the Milano, I'd like to explore those options. Any suggestions?

Did you try the Regent? I tried it on once and it felt pretty good to me as a slim, but not overly slim, fitting option.

Hey Charles,

First post here. I thought you might like some suggestions. It's unlikely you would have my same measurements. I'm 5'6 115-118 with very slim requirements at the extreme of most common OTR suiting sizes. Turns out the Milano 36S fits similar to a SS Lazio/Havana 32R to a SM 34 Slim model 1 With following caveats

1. Shoulders are all very similar to 0.5 inch among all 3

2. Upper chest milano and SS same. SM 0.5-1 in narrower

3. Length Milano and SS similar but SM 0.5 -0.75 in longer

4. Sleeves : Milano and SS same with Milano 0.25 in shorter sometimes , SM 0.5-0.75 longer

5. Waist: Milano and SS same , SM up to 1 in narrower

So Milano and SS more similar. SM a little longer and more trim than the other 2.

Hope this helps you "interpolate" the proper size for alternatives. Other than the shoulders and length, the rest is easy to tailor.

Rdr
