I want to like APC. I really do. However, I'm disappointed with nearly every collection they come out with. About the only thing I like from their Spring collection are these:

The leather looks nice but the soles bother me. Too clunky.

Most everything looked dull and overpriced : ( As a big fan of A.P.C., I'm wondering what's going on in their design departments...

Yea, those boat shoes are wack. I'm not sure when the balance switched from APC setting trends to APC following trends. Having their flagship US store in NYC you would think they would have some insight into boat shoes being a four year old trend that has already made its way down to the suburbs and Urban Outfitters.

That said, I will likely pick up an overcoat in the next few days. Their quality is pretty wack lately though. I picked up a shirt on sale last week and the button holes were weakly sewed and fraying.

Based on what's on their website, there are a lot of pieces I like. Just off the top of my head, the derbies, the cardigan, the striped shirts, and the sport jacket were nice. The only thing with A.P.C. is that a lot of their stuff seems grossly overpriced. Can anyone comment on the quality of fabric/construction/etc. in their pieces?

It's gone way down IMO. I just purchased a shirt and a pair of New Cures last week. It was my first purchase from APC in at least a few years. The shirt felt very thin and cheap and the button holes were poorly constructed. It was (of course) better than say H&M but I felt just as cheap in it. It was $50 on sale and I'm likely still going to return it. Jeans were ok but I compared them to an old pair of New Standards from 3-4 years ago and the hardware was much cheaper. The new buttons look like they're made of aluminum foil.

Like most things though, I'm tempted to still make the trade off between cost and quality vs. accessibility. Due to my job these days, I don't have the same amount of time to dedicate to scouring stores so being able to order online with a liberal return policy is a big plus for me.

I'm glad that they updated their site finally. That being said everything seems pretty dull. The shoes are terrible, and the scarves are plain. I expected something a little bit brighter. The narrow plaid shirt looks doable but even that is meh.

I was a huge fan of APC, going back five or six years they always had some outerwear and sweaters that I would pick up each season.
I agree that everything recently has been underwhelming.

The derbies are nice, but not 440 usd nice. Everything from APC is about twice as much as I would pay for it.
