Any Suggestion for Sweet Wine?

Any suggestion for sweet tasting wine? Either red or white. Not looking for wine to accompany my meal, just wine to relax and drink with friends. ive been told that madera vsattui is good.

For a sweet wine I like a Muscato D'asti from Italy. Also, a Portuguese Vinho Verde is a nice wine to relax with...easy to drink and fruity.

I'd follow this but take out Sauterne. Unless you're looking for a sweet desert-style wine as opposed to just a sweeter wine.

Riesling is usually the safest bet, there are many from Germany in the under-$9 price range that have a solid level of residual sugar, but they're still solid and complete wines.

I like an oloroso sherry but becareful it's fortified.

In winter, as a just realxing sort of sweeter wine, as opposed to dessert wine, I find it incredibly hard to go wrong with a Malmsey Madeira. With nuts or something it is incredible.

But apart from that Reisling and Gewurtz FTW. Spatlese or Auslese really fills the bill.

Try some of the light, fruity Italian bubblies, like La Spinetta (Rivetti) Moscato d'Asti Vigneto Biancospino or Vigne Regali (Banfi) Brachetto d'Acqui Rosa Regale. Another thought is, a modestly priced LBV or tawny port.

I'd drink ice wine with the same consideration as Sauternes. Delightful as an after dinner aperitif, terrible if you want something to help the buzz.

Probably embarassing myself here but we enjoy Ca de Medici Lambrusco Cubista during the summer. It's a sweet sparkling dessertish red but we enjoy it as a standalone too.

No fans of a nice white wine from the Alsace? I would describe describe them as sweet, with more acidity than Sauternes wines, which makes them more appealing in my view.

I had a superb white from Marcel Deiss the other day: excellent in every aspect!

Try Vsattui Gamay Rouge on a hot day. Excellent red served chilled.

It is not a wine but I would add Lindemans Lambic Framboise.
