Can anyone explain the difference between the two colors. Looking for some AE on the 2nd hand market and want to know the difference between the two color. They do not have merlot anywhere in any AE stores. Which one look more red? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Oxblood typically has just a hint of brown in it and, as the name implies, looks virtually like dried blood. Merlot is a more reddish tone with a slight hint of ruby in the color.

I have a merlot McAllister and I agree the color is slightly brighter than the more subdued oxblood. I actually prefer the Merlot color.
