I am glad to see SW&D has good taste in music. It's telling that most of the images right off the bat are of musicians. Of all the cultural customs, music has probably had the strongest influence on streetwear in the past 50 years. Followed by sports and military. Music can so quickly identify your tribal alliance and make something kinda ordinary (jeans and shirt) mean something more. Also, those early i-D mags are awesome. Going further back.
