Nice thread.

I apologize for the lousy image; I saw the original, full size, photograph at the Jackson Hole airport in Wyoming (trip to Yellowstone) a while ago and, natural beauty apart, the two climber dudes, especially the backpacker guy, seemed to me to have that SW&D look down just right (possibly because this was 'real' street wear in a 'real' environment, wearing denim to boot?)

Anyway here goes. The pic is more of a reference point in case someone gets a link to a better version.

You can also see a fuller sized (though still not very good) version if you scroll down this page, Pic Tittled "Teewinot and the Grand Teton from a high Mountain Slope"

:thumbs-up: I am glad to see SW&D has good taste in music. It's telling that most of the images right off the bat are of musicians. Of all the cultural customs, music has probably had the strongest influence on streetwear in the past 50 years. Followed by sports and military. Music can so quickly identify your tribal alliance and make something kinda ordinary (jeans and shirt) mean something more. Also, those early i-D mags are awesome. Going further back. Painter Paul Gauguin 1890s.
