    Custom tuxedo shirt

http://www.blacktieguide.com/ Wow, that is an incredibly comprehensive amount of information about tuxedos -- just what I needed -- thanks!

    Custom tuxedo shirt

I am having a custom tuxedo shirt made for my wedding. Shirt will be all white, will be wearing a bow tie. I'm looking for kind of a timeless/classic look, if there is such a thing.... Seems like this can go in a lot of different directions regarding the collar, pleats on front of shirt, fabric...

    Slim Fit Overcoat?

Crombie does slim fit models of its classic overcoats These look very nice -- a bit steep though at over $1,000. Are these sold in the US or only UK?

    Slim Fit Overcoat?

I am looking to buy a slim fitting overcoat. I would like something definitely at or above the knee. I will be wearing it over a suit, but would perhaps like something I could wear without a suit as well. Looking for navy, charcoal, or even camel. Would like to keep this well under $1,000...

Slim fitting wool pants for office

Howard Yount - one of the forum sponsors. Check the links above. Much better quality than Zara stuff for a similar price. These look pretty good...might check them out, thanks.

Slim fitting wool pants for office

Thanks -- I was concerned Incotex would be a bit too slim, although I've certainly never seen them in person.

Slim fitting wool pants for office

After picking up some custom-made shirts that are neatly tailored to my body, all of my pants look like parachutes in comparison. I have had a great deal of trouble finding some slim fitting pants for the office. I am definitely not looking for "skinny" pants -- I picked up some off-brand...

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

I have a TON of suits, blazers, pants and outerwear with varying degrees of alterations needed. Looks like I'll parse through the thread and take various pieces based on the strengths listed above for LNC and Wilfred. That being said, how about CHIPP and Ercole - pricing - as well as strengths...

    Inexpensive Manhattan MTM Shirts

Thanks for the advice, fellas. While I was originally thinking about going the cheap route...maybe I'll just suck it up and get some CEGO shirts! Seems like a quality operation and I like the idea of actually getting measured and having someone to talk to rather than dealing with an Internet...

    Inexpensive Manhattan MTM Shirts

I would recommend CEGO over any of the traveling tailor options. If you live in NYC, it's especially convenient and Carl will work with you get a perfect fit. I have seen CEGO discussed quite favorably, but it seems like that's going to run me $100+, no? Worth just trying my luck with...

    Inexpensive Manhattan MTM Shirts

Try mytailor, moderntailor, nialma. I guess getting back to my original query (sorry if this was not clear), would you recommend ModernTailor over a local NYC option, including a local travelling Asian tailor?

    Inexpensive Manhattan MTM Shirts

Other than the travelling Indian/Southeast asian tailors or maybe a Mohan's, I doubt you can get MTM in the city for $50. If you can, the quality, construction and fit will be terrible. You are better off with jantzen, just take into account that you will waste 2-3 shirts to get the fit right...

    Inexpensive Manhattan MTM Shirts

I was thinking about ordering some MTM shirts online from Jantzen or ModernTailor, but since I live in NYC, would it be better to get from a local shirtmaker? I'm looking to keep the cost under $50 per shirt -- looking for a very slim cut look, nothing too extravagant in terms of patterns. I...

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

I am looking for an inexpensive tailor in Midtown East -- don't need anything crazy done, maybe just finishing some pants bottoms and some waist supression on a jacket. Would you trust these things to a dry cleaner tailor -- any recommendations?

MySuitNY, Astor & Black or other custom NYC suit

I am looking for a "custom" suit in NYC. I have seen the Mysuitny.com store on Madison Avenue -- has anyone gotten a suit from here? I have read some reviews of Astor & Black as well -- how do these compare? I'm looking to only spend $500 -- I know some people have recommended Mr. Ned, but $850...
