    Danner Stumptown Collection

Wish these came in a narrow/B width like some of their other models. I have a pair of Hood Winter Lights in B width which I really like.

Does anyone know who makes this type of lock. Hard to read the print in the picture. Seem to remember a link to similar type lock was posted a while ago. Can't find it. Thx. I think Cheney makes some of the locks for English cases as well as for Filson. Not sure if this one is a Cheney but...

Swaine Adeney Case - Opinion/Advice Wanted

I probably prefer the round lock but only by a slight margin. But if I had the square lock, I wouldn't long for the round lock. If I were getting the square lock though, I'd prefer the style that has the wavy top vs. the one that is completely square all the way around.

Swaine Adeney Case - Opinion/Advice Wanted

Here are some pics of mine when it was new. It's since darkened and been marked up a little. I intend to take some pics down the road to show how it's aged. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...id=1Yctm7Vizdk

Swaine Adeney Case - Opinion/Advice Wanted

Thanks. I just recieved the Paternoster in Havana and still have the wrap case in London Tan incoming . Do you carry a computer in your wrap case? Did you have any internal/external pockets added? I'm having internal pockets added to mine for writing instruments/business cards/phone/calculator...

Swaine Adeney Case - Opinion/Advice Wanted

I currently own the wrap case in London tan. I've owned other SAB cases in Havana and chestnut. I would chose the London tan every time. I would argue that it's more versatile than Havana as it looks great with blacks and browns (light and dark). Havana does not go as well with black imo...

    Mr. Porter

Too much Gucci for my taste. I was also disappointed that some of the brands listed have very few offerings. For example, SAB has literally 1 item - a golf umbrella with none of the option choices.

That's interesting about the locks. I wonder if they just changed the style or if they were sourced from different manufacturers. Either way, they're both great. There's really nothing mysterious about the rain drop marks. It literally just looks like rain has fallen on it by creating spot...

Looking over my bag again, I can really see how the color is beginning to change since there are some areas, mainly the sides and bottom, that still have the beige color. It could be due to exposure to the sun which can darken leather and those areas are less exposed. One other thing I did so I...

Beautiful case and congrats on finally receiving it! I think the colors in your pics are true to color, especially the section where the sunlight is hitting. Even though mine is right in front of me, I still love looking at the pics. Mine was in fact more beige-like in color when I first...

The London tan one you have pictured is my pic of the one I sold over a year ago (so yes, it's London tan). I regretted selling it and ended up buying another one but got the round lock instead.

I currently own the 3rd one down in London tan (same as Medwards) but opted for the round lock. But I love the square lock too and used to own the same case with the square lock (long story, but I sold it, regretted it deeply, and purchased another one)! I've owned SAB cases in London tan...

Is Ghurka the most expensive American maker of leather goods?

So is there a "made in USA" tag in their older bags? I came across a vintage soft attache at a cobbler's store there for some repair. I took a look inside and there wasn't any "made in usa" tag. This was in 2004 so the bag was probably made (much) earlier given the patina. If you're looking at...

    Briefcase purchase: opinions please

I have the SAB as well. Mine is the same as PeterElliot's with the round lock but in London Tan vs. Chestnut. I use it everyday and I don't find buckling and unbuckling the straps to be cumbersome at all. In fact, with such a beautiful case, it adds to the enjoyment and experience of owning it...

    Leather bag/briefcase care and cleaning

Do you mean Lexal Cleaner can be used to clean the bag? Yes, try it out in a test area and let it fully dry. From there, you'll get an idea of how it will clean and affect the leather. Product Description Lexol Leather pH Cleaner Spray, 16.9 oz. Deep-cleans dirt, oil and leftover perspiration...

I have a few of these as well and they always get compliments. My wife especially loves them. I happen to have one here in the office as an emergency tie and the tag reads Made in USA on 1 side and 100% Imported Silk on the other.
