What degree subject did you do?

Biomedical engineering has a bright future. My friends at Imperial told me how they designed cheap artificial kneecaps for the Indian market - something really cool about getting paid to make cyborgs! There is also a big demand for artificial kneecaps amongst people who get on the wrong side of...

Things your dumb friends post on facebook

One of my uni classmates a couple of months ago: "RIP grandad" Cue the inevitable barrage of "Sorry for your loss" and "Hope you're ok" from his idiot friends, do they not realise he's just fishing for sympathy and attention? How long after his grandad dying did he think "I've got to tell...

    Dentist jobs in US

Ha, no I'm not a backpacker. I'm 24 and will be 27 by the time I have finshed my training here, so there is still plenty of time for me to think about it and visit potential places to live. You may be right with the whole 'grass is greener' thing but I guess you don't find out unless you give it...

    Dentist jobs in US

I haven't been there before but I've always wanted to live there for some reason. There is a great demand for dentists in the UK but I'm not sure I want to stay here forever. Would probably like to live somewhere that has decent weather because we barely get a summer here in Scotland!

    Dentist jobs in US

Is anyone familiar with the process for international dentists getting a job in the US? I'm currently studying in the UK and interested in working in the US in the future. Would I need to do loads of additional training? What is the lifestyle like for dentists in the US? Is it easy to find work...

(Old) Ask a Question, Get an Answer - please ask all quick questions here

Any opinions on these Desert Boots? They're Roamers so think the quality isn't great but they were quite cheap so don't mind if they don't last for years. I think they look a bit wide and like my feet have been run over by a truck. Am I just being paranoid?

    Dental Help

I have a question since this seems to be a thread with a dental response: I have a few random black spots on the side of some of my teeth. They aren't cavities.. is this just staining, or what? This can sometimes be due to arrested cavity development, where the tooth begins to decay but your...

    Tennis is killing my feet

Thanks for the info guys. I think getting some Nikes might help as I don't have particularly wide feet, so this will cut down on movement within the shoe. If the hard skin development is inevitable then fair enough, I will just use a stone or scraper to remove the worst of it. I will suck it up...

    Tennis is killing my feet

I'm using Adidas Tirands at the moment, which are similar to Barricades. Do you guys wear special socks or tape up your feet at all?

    Tennis is killing my feet

I play tennis 2 or 3 times a week and it's making my feet look awful. After I play, I usually have a painful blister on top of my 3rd toe on my left foot. I'm also getting hard skin forming on the outside of both of my big toes. I think my tennis trainers are the correct size, so does anyone...

    opinions on my boots

Your belt looks black, so I wouldn't wear them with that. Boots are nice though and there is no problem wearing them with dark jeans.
