Last one. 23. The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Haruki Murakami. Technically, I'm not quite finished but should be done today, maybe tomorrow but I'm still counting it.

What TV Series Are You Streaming Lately?

I'm at ep4 but it's taking me like 2-3 days to get through an episode because, you are right, it is so cringy, lol. Station Eleven really is fantastic. I want to go through it again. The costuming alone is worth it. Before Netflix blocked me because my TV isn't part of my nephew's...

    2023 50 Book Challenge

Yes it is. Crazy thing is I could never get past the first few pages for some reason. I've had it on my side table for literally years. It's been on planes and road trips where I would read a few pages or it would never even make it out of my bag. Being between books when the library was...

    16. "Lincoln in the Bardo", George Saunders. I went in blind so didn't know about the unique format of the book and was briefly thrown by it. I really, really liked this one. Favorite this year so far.

PARABOOT APPRECIATION THREAD 2018 - NEWS, PICTURES, CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES, ETC.

Anyone using Paraboot cleansing cream? I have a pair of Michaels in lisse cafe and was wondering what I should use to clean/condition them w/out affecting the color. What other products should I consider?

I knew nothing about the author before randomly picking up The Ferryman at the library. I take it you didn't like the series adaptation of The Passage, lol. I think I'll put The Passage on my to do list.

    14. Slade House, David Mitchell. Blew through this one quickly. Basically a spin off of Bone Clocks. I will say I didn't mind it. It was kind of refreshing to not have to keep track of characters, time and place when reading his books even though that's what I enjoy most about his books.

    11. The Bone Clocks, David Mitchel 12. A Visit From The Goon Squad, Jennifer Egan. There's no way I'm getting to 50 at this rate but I'll keep going. David Mitchel novels don't help with some of them being 600+ pages, lol.

    Cowboy boots

I say go for it. I wouldn't get anything to expensive, flashy or too pointy. Start with a round-ish toe. In fact, just get a pair of Tecovas. They won't break the bank (although prices have gone up) and they have a lot of different styles but I would recommend a cowboy boot. They also do...

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

Since I have a random request, I figured this would be the thread for it. Does anyone know an IG acct. of a woman of asian descent who posts fits of vintage western wear / denim? I think her handle is something like "@_____oftheplaines" or something close to that but I may be mistaken.
