    Any other Edmontonians here?

What about Skinny Legs and Cowgirls? I haven't been to their new location yet. Good date spot? Cannot recommend Skinny Legs to anyone. Will never go eat there again unless ownership changes. **** me they're probably the single most overpriced, overrated resto in town. How they set themselves up...

Paris Tailors (it's downtown just off Jasper) for tailoring and cleaning. It's a Chinese gent and a woman (wife maybe). Great service, does exactly what you ask for, friendly and his rates are reasonable. Just a little caveat about Paris Tailors' current workmanship. The shop was previously...

    Any other Edmontonians here?

...in other news Gravity Pope is apparently opening an "outlet" store in Edmonton. Surprised me for sure. They are looking for employees; as much as I'd be theretically overqualified, I was tempted. Apparently opening up November 11 or something like that. Where, I don't know. They leased out...

New York trip - How to Spend It?

Thanks for all the great suggestions so far! I'm looking for a nice breakfast place in the theatre district. Any suggestions? Thanks once again! If you don't mind taking the sub for about 20 minutes from the theatre district you can grab some biscuits and gravy at Good Enough to Eat on...

New York trip - How to Spend It?

Not true. ABC is great. That is the only JG I have been to in the last month or so. But I also like Nougatine. Good food if you don't want to have lunch in TWC. +1 for Nougatine. Best set lunch deal in the city imo. $24 for 3 courses.

Sorry, I totally forgot that I have a fundraising event to attend tomorrow evening in the west end. Won't be able to make it for drinks at the Hotel Mac, next time though.

    Any other Edmontonians here?

Bothy is one of my fav places in town, although if you are looking for a place to be seen, it isn't it. If you do go to the Bothy, make sure you go when Andrew is bartending. His knowledge of scotch is quite strong, and he is an awesome guy to boot. If you want a nice, classy place downtown...

Soooo...uhhhhhh...Da Capo? SF Edmontonians for Drinks/coffee at Da Capo? I'd be in for that sometime. Nearly got in a fight along Whyte last night because I was wearing a suit at the bar... ******* blue collars. That's Edmonton for ya, If I wear a blazer and nice shoes on whyte ave I...

    Any other Edmontonians here?

Worst service ever at the Famoso in South Common, fyi. I hate Edmonton. Service at any bar/restaurant in Edmonton has generally gone down the ******* for years now esp. since the local boom. Honestly, the most consistent service I've had has been at Dadeo's, they're always fast and friendly...

    Any other Edmontonians here?

I've only been there once. I'll have to give it another go, but to be honest, to me it was almost uncomfortable just in terms of the clientele - let's just say, from the perspective of the classic SF "style vs. fashion" dichotomy, Suede seemed to lean to the latter in every way. As for the...

    Any other Edmontonians here?

Just checking in as a fellow Edmontonian. I'd be up for a local SF meet/greet also and you can't go wrong with drinks at the Sugarbowl or Redstar. Just to add to the local recommendations for a tailor I second the mention of Paris Tailors downtown. Forrest used to be a go to guy there but...
